Fort York hires JRCPR for Aboriginal week festival!

Good news everyone! We finally have a lift off of monumental proportions!

Fort York, the national historic site located at 250 Fort York Blvd in downtown Toronto, along with the New Credit FN, are presenting the National Aboriginal Day / Indigenous Arts Festival June 21- 25th. The big news? JobReadyCPR has been hired to run its event medical!

I've attended this fantastic event in years past and it's always been over the top with great music, amazing hand made art, and storytelling like you've never heard before. This year there will be some Metis jigging, Indigenous films, hand drumming, and much much more. APTN (Aboriginal Peoples Television Network) will be present covering the entire event and providing some shine of their own!

I reached out to Fort York, admittedly with my heart a bit on my sleeve, only to receive a very warm welcome. I've been told that FY is excited to be working with us, which is great news! This festival gives us a great opportunity to really demonstrate what experience, training, and a focus on providing the client with world class service really looks like. In addition to all this good stuff let's not forget that this provides TWO positions for job experience and training! As usual with recruits, these members will receive a Standard First Aid / CPR C / AED course, a Level 1 JBCPR Medic course and all the experience they can handle.

So come out June 21 - 25th to the National Aboriginal Day / Indigenous Arts Festival and enjoy yourself! If you get hot, stop by the med tent and cool off with a bottle of water, on me!
